We got exciting news from Eric and Suzana last week: on Saturday they signed the lease on a house in the City of God that will serve as a place of ministry to that community. The house is actually located right in front of where the kids have been meeting on the street. It will be a great thing for the children to meet in a house so close to the area they are familiar with.
Here is a picture of the house with the house’s owner. She has been taking care of her grandchildren after her daughter has died. Eric and Suzana will be able to renovate the house and gift it back to the owner after they have used it.

1. Any money that you designate to the “Children’s House” when giving at Crossroads will be used for further ministry in the City of God or other communities that Eric and Suzana are involved in.
2. Eric gave up comfortable life in the US to invest in the lives of the people in Rio de Janeiro. He is relying on personal support in order to meet his financial needs in order to commit himself to fulltime ministry. Supporting Eric will allow him to continue working the vulnerable populations in the City of God and elsewhere in Brazil. In closing, I wanted to leave you with this photo and an excerpt from Eric’s last update: “When I was there yesterday [City of God], the kids wanted to take a photo next to a sign that someone put up that reads, “Jesus loves you.” I want this truth to sink deep into their hearts. Please pray with us for this to happen through the work you enable us to do. Thank you for your continued support, both financially and laboring in prayer.”
